Living in Massachusetts I have many choice New England vacation destinations to choose from.
A few of the many choice New England vacation destinations that immediately come to mind are Boston , New Hampshire, and Maine.
Today I will touch on just a few of Boston’s many choices for exploring our country’s rich history.
FREEDOM TRAILWalk the freedom trail. A few hours walk and you can explore 16 historical sites and gaze upon centuries of history. The painted red trail on the ground can guide you along your way!
BUNKER HILL MONUMENT 294 steps up the famous monument and you will have a great view of many things history. Boston has many points of interest that require walking and best of all many are free admission.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace Grab a bite to eat at one of the many eateries while browsing the many shops and street vendors. Enjoy live street entertainers.
So Much To Do And So Little Time.
With so many sites and so many things to do in Boston, just one post doesn’t isnt even cover “the tip of the iceburg”. Be sure to bookmark this page and check back often for more about great Boston.
Do You Live In Or Near A Place That Has Great Vacation Potential? Have an interesting place to share? Let us know!
Planning an overnight in a city near you can be a fun staycation.
Many hotels have overnight and weekend packages or promotions. As for planning activities, most local libraries will have museum passes available you can check out that offer discount or sometimes even free admission. You can take in a show at a theater group. Cities generally have a generous selection of great food options and many price options. You will be supporting local businesses, saving a little cash and at the same time having fun!
Just got back from flying kites at George Hill. We haven’t invested in any fancy kites. We are the proud owners of a couple of 3 and 5 dollar ones that have been working quite nicely! A perfect small outing, not pricey and even the dog had a great time.
I think this next vacation will have to be once again back to the Bahamas. I just love it in the Bahamas. I have been a few times. This time I think I will make this a longer trip longer than a few days. A bit more low key. I will plan a condo this time. Visit some of the great local restaurants like “Fish Fry”, spend more time exploring water sports I have been meaning to try and just never seemed to fit it all in. The great advantage to the condo vacation living is you can find some great rates and have the option of cooking at “home”, saving money for more exciting things!
